Beyoncé’s Secret Tracks Stolen in Atlanta

Unreleased Beyoncé tracks and confidential tour documents were stolen from her choreographer’s rental car in Atlanta, days before the star’s concerts in the city.

A robbery during the “Cowboy Carter” tour

A police investigation is underway
as the artist is scheduled to conclude her “Cowboy Carter” tour in Las Vegas by the end of July. On July 8, as Beyoncé was preparing to begin a series of concerts in Atlanta, choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue went to the popular Krog Street Market. Upon their return, they discovered that the back window of their rented Jeep had been smashed and two suitcases had been stolen.

The luggage contained five USB drives with unreleased Beyoncé music, digitally tattooed, as well as show plans, setlists from past and future concerts, and other sensitive tour documents.

Sensitive data and personal items taken away

In addition to the digital media, the thief or thieves stole two MacBooks, headphones, luxury clothing, and personal accessories. The theft was captured on CCTV at the parking lot entrance, and fingerprints, though not very useful, were found near the vehicle. Police were able to trace some of the items using location tracking features, but have not commented on whether the unreleased tracks were recovered.

An arrest warrant has since been issued for a suspect whose identity remains confidential. As the Cowboy Carter Tour nears its end, Beyoncé’s entourage has yet to publicly comment on the matter, while the security of the unreleased material remains unresolved. This type of theft, involving exclusive content, highlights the heightened risks artists face during major tours.
